So I'm trying to get back into blogging. It's so much easier for our friends and family to check in on us whenever they want to instead of me annoying them with a thousand emails they don't even bother to look at.
As most people know, we're currently building our first home. We're very excited and can't wait for it to be done in about 6 weeks! Right now, we're all framed up with the wiring and plumbing in place, all of the rubs and showers have been installed along with the fireplace, windows and doors. I'll post pictures of our progress once I can remember how to do that. :-)
We're also gearing up for our 3rd deployment. Matt will be leaving for Afghanistan late May for a 10 month tour. This will be our longest tour, and he will be missing the holidays for the first time in 4 years. We've been lucky that so far he's been home for most of them since joining. At least this means he will actually have a summer next year! That will be nice especially now that we have a house and a yard.

wait WHAT?? did i miss something or have i always known he's gonna be deployed 10 months? i thought it was 7?
