Matthew joined the Marine Corps and left for boot camp on 10/31/05. By the time he gets home in mid-December, he will be in for 1503 days. In that time, we have been married 1226 days.
He has had the following training:
Parris Island (boot camp) 10/31/05 - 2/3/06 = 95 days
MCT/MOS 2/19/06 - 7/28/06 = 159 days
Mojave Viper 10/13/06 - 11/19/06 = 37 days
Cajun Viper 1/25/08 - 2/16/08 = 22 days
Plus his deployments:
Al Asad, Iraq 2/19/07 - 9/13/07 = 206 days
Ramadi, Iraq 3/29/08 - 10/19/08 = 204 days
Dahaneh, Afghanistan 6/10/09 - mid-December '09 = 185 days
Add that together, and he's been gone 908 days. Which means we have spent only 595 days together... And that's not including all the time he spends in the field, so technically it's even less than that.
I find that terribly sad.
